Maxi developed his passion and talent for soccer in Montevideo, Uruguay. He was discovered at an early age to play for the Uruguayan U16/U18/U21 National teams. He played professionally in his native country Uruguay
winning 2 championships in 1994 and 1995. (1994 Second Division and 1995 Uruguay Integration CUP).
Maxi also played in Chile Deportes Atacama and in the USA MLS San Jose Clash and St Louis Ambush F.C of the NPSL.
He won several Pro MVP ( 5 Awards Achievements) during his over 400 plus games that he played.
He earned his CONCACAF USSF “B” NATIONAL LICENSE and his "A" SOUTH AMERICA International Diploma in 2009
coaching professionally at Elite levels of football like the Qatar National Team from 2015 to 2017 for the 2018 Russia World Cup Qualifications Games. in 2019 he coached in Uruguay at Montevideo Wanderers FC as the Assistant Coach for the Pro First division League.
Maxi was the Head Coach of the FC Arizona in 2018 but in 2019 decided to go back to South America to get his Pro License Diploma. He is also experienced with developing youth soccer players in AZ and CA, coaching
several Division 1 Champion teams, and as EM Sports Group International Director has helped and advice families and players for the beautiful game. His diverse experience has created a specific, unique approach in his training sessions. Maxi can quickly assess, and provide simple instructions to improve techniques.
Inspire and train athletes sharing his international soccer experience (playing and coaching professional teams), to develop players to their maximum potential. His passion and simple instructions will result in improved tactical and strategical skills, in a safe and inspiring environment.
Maxi's coaching style of play is based on 30 years of experience playing and coaching professionally, including his recent 2 years assisting Coaching the Qatar National Team, as the former Head Coach of FC Arizona and Montevideo Wanderers FC in Uruguay as his last jobs since 2015 until 2019.
in 2020 he signed as the Assistant Coach of the prestigious Colombian Monster Club Deportivo Cali
Maxi was born in Uruguay, and grew up in Greece, so he has adopted two different styles of play. His unique style blends the heart of Uruguayans passion for soccer and the European soccer style. He started playing professionally at age 13, and played pro until the age of 34. He then decided to start coaching to share his experience and unique approach developing players and teams.
